23rd Annual Foundation Golf Tournament Raises Over $19K

The Armenian Youth Foundation’s Golf Committee benefited from a successful 2023 Golf Tournament held on June 26, 2023.   The event was held at the Franklin Country Club in Franklin, MA with a field of just under 90 participants.

Franklin Country Club has hosted prestigious regional and national LPGA, MGA and USGA events over the years. Known as one of the region’s more difficult private courses, this year’s winners were Seth Gold - Gross Division score of 80, Tom Mazzamaro - Net Division score of 70 and Daron Merian - Callaway Division score of 73.

This was Daron’s first time at the Foundation’s event and he took home the Callaway Division winnings.  In the tradition of this event, the Foundation presented a “Long Drive” award which is made to the participant who traveled the furthest to the event.  The 2023 Long Drive was awarded to Jeff Arakelian of Sarasota, FL.

The golf tournament is a cornerstone fundraising event for the Armenian Youth Foundation which allows the organization to continue to offer financial support to a wide range of worthwhile organizations benefiting Armenian-American youth.  This year’s event benefited from over 65 sponsorships from Hole, Green and Tee donors as well as a field of golfers who helped raise more than $19,000 to benefit the Foundation’s Capital Fund.
